JOURNAL WEEK 5

This week began with a big surprise that was mid term exam on July 8th, 2010. Then, a surprise thing was stopped and moved on the important skill. This week, my boss gave me the presentation tips for an impromptu job interview. There were various issues for job interview. Then, my boss gave me the interview tips. (very excellent:) I would like to give big thanks to my boss because I am going to be an internship and I have to interview for my co-operative education. These excellent interview tips were very useful for me. These tips made me knew how to introduce my self and knew the thing that I should do or not for my job interview, the things that I should know before interview such as the company background. I can prepare my self completely and I have more confidence for my interview. Importantly, these tips can help me to get a good job in the future.^^

JOURNAL WEEK 4

This week, my boss explained me the marketing mix (4Ps). It was very useful for me to manage my brand. I learned about product strategy, positioning and branding. To understand the consumer behavior was the first thing that was very important for a good marketer or brand manager. I am a brand manager I had to manage my brand to be a popular brand in the marketplace. Exactly, I had to manage my brand by following the product strategy steps that were to create value, to communicate value, and to deliver value (customer management, target market).
Then, I had to move on very special activity of this week that was presentation in the real situation for a job interview. My group was the first group. We duplicated the situation for job interview of flight attendance. I was very excited because I was in the first group and everyone was interested in my presentation. Today, every group was very good in their presentation. This activity was very important for me because it could help me for my impromptu job interview.^^!

JOURNAL WEEK 3

The begining of this week on Tuesday (June 8, 2010) was showing the blogs of my classmates that was very impressive and attractive. My classmates were excellent in their creativity. Then, we moved on the presentation of the executive summary “Victoria’s Secret.” My group was the first group in this presentation. Importantly, this week Ajarn Gob gave the details about the final project. I had to search for the information of my company such as the marketing strategy and company background. I found that there were a lot of information from various websites but some information was unusable. Oh, it made me serious. It was not problems because Ajarn Gob explained me in each topic such as product strategy and promotion strategy. Exactly, I had background knowledge in IBM that was my minor, so when Ajarn explained it was very easy to understand. I had to think of my blog that was the Walt Disney. My brand referred to children and I had to design my blog for my target groups that were the children. My blog should have more color and pictures. Oh!!!Thank you so much Ajarn Gob wasn’t serious about GRAMMAR. ^^!

JOURNAL WEEK 2

This week, our class began with lovely fashion show from my classmates. All of them are very professional and have the self-confidence. It was very funny and it made my class very happy. The important topic that we talked is a question “What’re really in women’s bag?” My answer is everything that is very necessary and important for user. Then, I’ve got the excellent answers from Ajarn Gob; in the bag there was demand such as beauty, prestige, pride, hope, ambition, achievement, safety, dignity, difference, success, dream, avoidance, happiness, equality, etc. After I got this answer, I think the value is really in the bag. Besides, Ajarn Gob gave us the tips for success in this course such as discipline (achieve the goal), passion, hardworking, positive (everything is possible), creative. Then, my friends and I’d learned the "Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs" There were five steps of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. I think I am now at the psychological needs step.

JOURNAL WEEK 1

This week was my first time in this course “English for International Trade.” I would like to take this course since last year but I can’t. I really would like to take this course because I had business background and I could use both skills with this course. Anyway, this course was on Tuesday and Thursday but on Tuesday (25 May) there was no class. My friends and I had to go to Ajarn Gob’s office to get the course syllabus and read it before the class on Thursday.
On Thursday (27 May), English for International Trade began with discussion about “Why are you interested in this course?” My reason to take this course is my minor in IBM and Ajarn Gob’s teaching style is quite relaxed. After that, Ajarn Gob described the course syllabus. It’s very interesting for me. Importantly, I have to create my BLOG that I have no background about it but I will try my best to design my lovely BLOG. ;D
